Hoola I agree we do need a strategy for the long term, and SM has offered to take on board our suggestions. 

For this game, we'll be well over 10K, at least 4K over our regular home core attendance...

Figures have changed just now, 9850 home, 186 away.

That's 800+ in the last 24 hours.  48 hours before the game and that doesn't include the pay on the day spectators.

I would guess at this rate topping out at 12K, which is effectively a home sell out and almost twice the core home attendance.

What's so surprising about that? It's par for the course, over decades, for Rovers, and most other clubs too, when they are at their last home games, against localish opposition, and with a chance of winning something.  Any fool knew a month ago that the attendance this Saturday would be well over 10,000.

I've heard from a close source at the club that there's not many tickets left for Saturday. Get down to that ticket office first thing guys! Don't miss out!

Bringing 3 mates along so I wanted to put them near us, but the only block of 3 left in the South stand was on the front row - there was quite a queue in there and the girls said there were hardly any seats left in South stand at all, in fact there were very few anywhere and said they would be selling north stand tickets soon!! - going to be a great atmosphere, I can't wait! Just hope we get the result we all want!!!

I realise Norfolk was joking but I've just had a similar conversation with my dad - he was moaning about glory hunters too -  my argument was that you've probably got 100's of people like me who can't get to more than a handful of home games throughout the year or people who can't afford to get to every game who are making the extra effort for this one game, hence some of the increased gate.

If we didn't have supporters who (for whatever reason) only attend sporadically, then we'd never get bigger home attendances than the core.

Growing the core is what ideally we need to do.  Fans attending irregularly are still fans IMHO, and welcome as much as the next ST holder.

Why do some on here think it's exactly thre same people who go to each home and away game.....I'm puzzled. Btw support is support at whatever level and at whatever time. These are our townsfolk and they are more than entitled to be there. I hate the term ''glory'' fans.

If I remember correctly, when we played palace in the 'free' game, they put the away supporters in the north west corner as there is a created barrier there between two blokes of seats where the police usually stand. That should be more than adequate and would leave about 2500ish seats that can be sold to home fans

Yep now we just need a 'glorious' day out for all of us, personally I can't wait. Got work leave, home leave as well including the Brentford game on tele afterwards..
