Thinking about starting going to the gym

Anyone recommend one of these?

Don't quite know what to expect that's the thing, i know they have like day passes and stuff etc

Not exactly in the knowledge of gyms so not sure what reaction I would expect

Choose Fitness everytime, currently a Choose Fitness member due to the Fitness First in Balby been taken over by them and have previously been a member of Xercise4Less, and as much as Xercise4less is a huge gym they have something ridiculous like 15,000+ members and is always packed. With Choose Fitness if you go for the £25 a month offer then you have access to lots of different gyms around Donny.

I joined Xercise4less purely because it was a tenner a month.  I'd never set foot in a gym before but it does exactly what I need it to.  it can be busy at times but I've never been able to get on the equipment or into one of the classes when I've wanted to so no complaints from me.

Everyone is really friendly and the PT's are spot on.

rtid88 did you get any notice of the change of hands back as it seems in November? i joined fitness first at Balby as my home town gym. But i never trained there as i work in London and i liked the fact i could use any blue membership gym. Due to serious knee injury i had been unable to go to the gym, on my return last month to FF just off Regent Street i was told i had my membership cancelled in November as Balby had changed hands. i had no letter no nothing off either party apart from my payment would be handled by a new company not mentioning new ownership. On A lighter note when i called choose fitness i explained all this they then asked me if i wanted to cancel my membership or would i re consider!  what   340 mile round trip of an evening to go to the gym please.

Hi 'nutwellrover in dublin', there was plenty of notice in the actual gym in regards to the take over, I also received a letter from Fitness First stating that my gym was one that Fitness First were wanting to sell on because they were restucturing, tbf not a lot has changed within the gym since Choose Fitness took over but Im happy with my new membership as it means I can also go to the Dome and Keepmoat gym which are easy walking distance to my girlfriends house!
