People of a certain age will know this ex wrestler who passed away on the 22nd May aged 91

Nice little video at the bottom of this article featuring Giant Haystacks and Big Daddy with a glimpse of McManus

I'm gobsmacked he was 91. It's hardly credible is it? It's only yesterday we were sat watching the goggle box thinking what a nasty piece of work he is... As a youngster I always liked Giant Haystacks. Now he was one BIG guy!
Yet another era ends. Reminds me of my granddad. Used to read the death notices in his local paper to work out how many of his generation were left..... As he lived to be 99 and three quarters he watched them all go....
Cheers

Apparently one of my aunts was fathered by a McManus, my nan was convinced he was a relative.. Surreal fact.. Mind you her first child was adopted by a family called Jacobs so she was convinced they were the cracker people.....
I can only think the workhouse had a profound effect on her...
