@Stevedcfd: @paulgoodwinDFP what's the point in revealing target, it's "signing" our out of contract players and new players we need to know.

I bet you it's just revealing who's accepted new deals so far. He'll be sensationalising it to sell papers, as is his job.

The target will be a man not a woman and either an outfield player or goalkeeper or maybe a member of the backroom staff

And he will be younger than 40 years old.

I hope.

Richie Wellens, has a year left on his contract, but reports are that he is free to find another club. His relationship with Nigel Pearson seems to have disintergrated because of the distance he is travelling to get to training. Seems the ideal partener for Furman, who is almost certain to sign, but he may have to take a big wage decrease as he signed a lucrative contract in 2011 after impressing.

Seems injury prone though.

Manchester to Leicester = 105 miles.

If you go 62, then Manchester to Doncaster is around 95 miles.

Obviously depends which side of Manchester he lives on.

Think he only had the 1 injury at Leicester, so bit harsh to label him with that tag. I can think of other players who've missed more games!

Don't get me wrong, I'd happily welcome him back, and like the Free Press said "He seems an ideal partner for Dean Furman who is almost certain to sign", I just wonder how long he's got left in him? And, when he enters the pitch, is he the Richie Wellens we all knew in 2008/2009?

I reckon if we can fit him into our wage structure Wellens would probably look to rejoining in a favourable light, unlike the Blackpool and Oldham fans who slagged him off when he left those clubs, our fans showed some class and wished him well. He said himself at the time that it was a difficult decision to leave

Wouldn't say no, and to be honest, I can't see there being a massive queue of Championship teams waiting to sign him.

Could be a decent signing doubt he will be as good as he was with us a few years ago but might turn out to be decent signing if he sorts his fitness out.
