There appears to be a lot of media interest in her husband abusing her in public. Whilst this is totally unacceptable behaviour  the most shocking piece of information that has come out of the sorry affair is that he is 70!!!  Why on earth would she marry such an old fogie? It never ceases to amaze me that old ugly men think it is acceptable to marry much younger beautiful women. You don't find young handsome men marrying old wrinkly ugly women.

This practice should be outlawed, and society should make people that do it social outcasts. Bruce Forsyth is another one that falls into this category. He married Miss World FFS!!! We should all stop watching Strictly Come Dancing in protest.

Apparently it was a 'playful tiff'. So are we to deduce that throttling to the point of making someone cry is a fun activity?

I've often seen photos of Nigella out and about looking run down and less than immaculate but put it down to there being no film crew around, sadly when a woman is being abused the first thing to go is confidence in themselves. I wonder now in the light of these pictures if this is the case for her too. Add that to the photo published a while ago of him with his hand over her mouth and you start to see a picture of domination.

As for his age, her first husband was also I believe a fair bit older than her. Some women seem to need the extra stability of an older partner, perhaps she is one of them.

Poor woman she must feel such a mixture of emotions at the moment depending on if this is usual way of shutting her up. bas**rd.

Sadly both his comments and those of some of the comments on this thread say a lot about the still casual attitude to domestic abuse.

None of you men would I hope ever advocate acting like that with your own partners, yet because she is famous and very lovely you manage to make it flippant.
