Nothing to say SU can't play home Saturday and SW home on Sunday, does say dates and KO times to be confirmed.

The 6 fixtures released by the FL don't match those on the 'leaked list' load of tripe.

So basically they've had a punt at what they think it'll be and hope for the best that they're right.

No, not at all. The fixtures have been sorted now. Probably they were sorted week ago or more. The ones that are Anniversary fixtures were already pre planned, just the "Other" ones needed sorting. Still means SU could be home on the Saturday and SW home Sunday.

But that always could have been the case.

Still could be complete guesses in the hope that they're right and look to be itk.

I'm surprised us and Yeovil aren't a special FL fixture for the first game of the season. Two successful clubs rising from the Conference to the Championship.

Mr Croft, I would be surprised if that were all it took to be special. You may as well have Brighton because they have the longest name or Carlisle and Plymouth as they are the furthest north - south. The teams they have chosen and the reasons why seem valid to me over the lifetime of the Football League, most played fixture, founder members, newest member, oldest ground etc. Although Yeovil may have a claim as aren't they the only team to win promotion within the FL but never relegated?

The fixtures weren't agreed until last weekend with over 600 changes being made at the last minute. The fixtures were then released to the clubs in the early hours of this morning and embargoed until 9 o'clock.
