Any football rivalries set to one side - did that to death in the last week of last season with my Donny supporting brother-in-law known on here as Lipsy. Incidentally, his birthday today and he passed up the offer of a lift to the match because his Mrs (my sis) had arranged a night out. How southern?

A few points from today.

The ref was terrible. No surprise, seen him before but mainly he is an IT manager for the firm I work for and is yet to respond to a query I sent him 3 years ago.

Don't like cheating in football. If there was a mandatory 5 minutes treatment for anyone that stays down, wouldn't happen as much.

Massively impressed with what I saw of your club and my matchday experience as an away fan. Friendly, helpful staff throughout and that rare experience of feeling like a valued customer. Particularly found the supporter liaison officers helpful.

At the end of the game, I might have said we celebrated like we'd won the league, but we wouldn't know about that

Glad youve enjoyed your day and have had a positive experiance at the ground . Its nice to hear that the good work our club have been doing has been noticed particulally by a visiting supporter , and i am sure those who do the work will be pleased with the praise also as sometimes it does go innoticed.

I am glad also that you also that the ref was awful too unfortunatly its a regular occurence at the keepmoat.

Well done on the win an good luck for the rest of the season

Thank you for the post.  I must admit, your team wanted it more yesterday.  We were jaded, the same 11 that have performed outstandingly well playing the best football seen here for over 2 years, just could not compete enough.

I must say though, I was disappointed with the ease at which players went down and looked to be injured when clearly they weren't.  In particular, the one who wasn't caught when Cotterill (our 11) slid in late.  Contact or not, it is a foul and (correctly) awarded a yellow card.  However the Bournemouth player acted like his knee had been taken out - was this to try and get Cotterill sent off?  Compare that to Husband (our 3) who got fouled in a similar way but got up almost straight away..

I know this is not an issue just with Bournemouth, and I guess our players may occasionally do the same but thankfully not often.  It seemed like yesterday that was a tactic Bournemouth used, which leads me to think they were told to.  I thought Howe (who I rate highly) was better than that?

Anyway, disappointed as I am that we performed below standard, we were comfortably beaten yesterday.  I was almost in line with the free kick where you scored, and it looked well offside.  Not sour grapes though, because poor decisions aside, we lost to the better side on the day so no complaints with the result.
