As the rules tighten, one or two in the Championship are going to feel the pips squeak. Apart from the parachute pay regiment, the overspenders are looking at some budget restraint next season and beyond.

Staying up this year while balancing the books could be worth its weight this year. If others have to make serious cutbacks it could be easier to stay in the division as a result.
