One for the statto's

Yesterday I knew, the people sat near me knew and Leroy Lita knew he was going to score when he came on. Just how many times has he scored against us?? I can just about recall a game at Belle Vue when he was playing for Bristol City where he scored at least once, possibly twice.

Lita vs Rovers:

25/10/2008. Scored last-minute winner in 2-1 victory for Norwich at Carrow Road.

22/08/2009. Scored second goal in 2-0 win for Middlesbrough at the Riverside.

26/01/2010. Scored once in 4-1 win for Middlesbrough at the KMS.

07/05/2011. Scored once in 3-0 win for Middlesbrough at the Riverside.

As well as the one he scored yesterday.

Yes, he does have a penchant for scoring against us, but not as much as you might think. The prolific Bristol City marksman against us was none other than Steve Brooker! Probably if we signed Lita his goals would dry up or he'd get crocked- or both!

I'm surprised if that's the total extent of his scoring prowess against Rovers. I'm sure he had scored in a game at Belle Vue, obviously I remember the potent Steve Brooker, like so many strikers we've signed in the past; prolific until they come to Rovers where it all goes flat.

Alford and Jackson the two worst offenders surely.

Phil Stant always scored against us and dare I say that Billy Sharp has a pretty good record?

Yes that is what I have TRB. He has played 7 times against us getting 5 goals in the process. He didn't score in the only game he played for Bristol City against us, so your memory of him coming of the subs bench must be the 4-1 in 2010.

Players who I always suspect the worst of when they play against us:

L. Lita
D. Kitson
M. Waghorn
A. Keogh

Best scoring record against Rovers has to be Tommy Tynan , total of 18 for his various clubs .
Mind you , he scored 18 against 4 other clubs as well !!!
