I think its TB about that he would go ahead with the deal. If that was true then JR wouldn't needed to have stepped down to force the deal through. I cant see JR being that fussed over the rugby club

Its an Odd one for sure as i see points Of view from both sides
Of the fence.

But the only thing that bugs me and i Cant Get my head round
Was JRs timeing When he went Public Of jacking it in.

5mins before a local rival KO,as that act alone Goes against
The JR that i think i know and trust.

If you 6 people in a situation and asked them after to recount the events you will get 6 different accounts

Human nature is to hear what appeals to you and disregard the rest

Your right there Bedale.

After hearing the Bramall interview I'm even more confused. I don't understand JR's motives if that's a the case. JR played his last card on Saturday with regards to forcing the takeover. I do think he will come back eventually. He does love this clubs bones. I think in the last couple of years he has let himself down a bit with his behaviour. But I Know, like all of us he just wants us to do well. He wants us to be the best we can be and maybe more.

I was talking to a friend of mine who has always been a big scarborough fan, and he was shocked with what he had heard. He reminded me how close we were to having the same fate as the seadogs and rightly said our rise has been astronomical, fairy tale stuff. I'm very proud of what jr has helped this club to achieve, and I'm sad that for now, we have parted company.
I don't think TB is entirely to blame for this though, it's only right that he has his reservations about a mystery hedge fund. I think we all have.
The point I'm trying to make is none of us know the full picture, so I don't think it's right to develop such strong views and infight to this level, when very, very few of us really know what's going on, what sequentia intend on doing should they gain control. What Bramalls plan b is if the takeover doesn't transpire and whether we have really seen the last of our JR.

Oslo,
Just take a step back............the reason John did it then was to get the maximum effect with all the media being there. It was designed to hit Bramall where it hurts and manipulate the supporters to follow him and turn against Bramall.

It just did not get the outcome he thought he was going to get.

It was arranged on Friday but failed to get the massive 100% support on the day.

It was a selfish action by a man not thinking about the team, the embarrassment of doing it at Barnsley for our supporters, pure selfishness. John should not have done it when he did and I said that on Friday when I found out what he was going to do.

I was brought up to question things but above all get both sides of the story before you make a decision. I strongly recommend we all do that and John's halo seems to be slipping in my eyes.

There is a lot more to come out before I make up my mind.

My mind and book are both still open fella.

I take on board what ypu said about the time JR picked to go Public, but that part still dont wash with me tbh.

saying that i want to understand his actions ,but if i dont i would never hold it against him just a tad let down.

Thanks for Your input

Hmmmm.... Who COULD possibly be distorting the facts or telling porkies I wonder. Probably the same person who apparently was gullible enough to be drawn into mentioning O'Brien as behind the SC deal at the VSC AGM.

That's called past form....

But he wasn't drawn into it as the article in the DFP stated. He wasn't even asked about O'Brien, he volunteered the information and then spoke voluably about him. Which he then flatly denied to the DFP and said he'd been 'cornered' into mentioning O'Brien by 'targetted questioning'!

Want to know who's telling lies? I'd suggest looking at who's got form in doing so...

Just a little conspiracy  :)  to add to the millions on here

JR dropped a goolie at the vsc by mentioning  the Irish connection

JR forced to retract in the press by the Irish connection or investment withdrawn

Irish connection refuse to talk to  JR cos he opened his gob

hence ongoing talks without JR

Pure Conspiracy but............

anyway I will back Skellow in that he has revealed  stuff by pm to me  (and others) that has come to fruition so no matter what, he does get to know things

The answer is that all of them are telling lies and playing the game. It's pretty obvious IF you all stop allowing your bias to cloud your judgment.

Which is why we should all try to stop fuelling it all (be it on here, Facebook, Twitter and blogs, etc). The big boys with their ever-so-big toys will sort it out in their own time.

We just have to hope that the future of the club is safeguarded... Once people have stopped chucking mud, they might want to appreciate that there may come a time when the VSC is the only voice trying protect the long term interests of the club... Just a thought.

I am in agreement with you Glyn. That exposed JR as a liar. A bare faced one too.

And when Gavin flatly denied investment only to be forced to backtrack..? That wasn't lying, was it?

As I keep saying: everybody lies.

Pick and choose or be open-minded... Bias is a funny thing, ain't it?

Lipsy, when did Gavin deny investment?

He was asked about investment in a public meeting within a day or so of the news breaking (I think it was the Supporters Club Retford Branch AGM, but I could be wrong) and said that there had been an approach but it was very early days and couldnt give any details.

Gavin has never denied there was an investment option when directly asked to my knowledge.

 :that:

I gave up walking years ago it's that big... In fact, I never even bothered to learn to walk...

And my dad - he's WAY bigger than yours.

And when I piss, I can piss WAY higher up the wall than any of yous...

I can also select information to "prove" my argument is better than yours. On a forum.

My life is complete.

It's like a schoolyard, only slightly more pathetic.

RTR - let me see if I can dig it out. It's after midnight, so forgive me if I don't get hold of it right now. Pretty certain he flat-out denied it, but - hey - I am not some kind of memory guy... If I cannot find it or I am wrong then I will apologise.

I still stand by the fact that everybody lies/play silly buggers, mind.
