Have we really seen the last of JR?
« on November 11, 2013, 07:51:15 pm by Donnyjim »
For me, I would say, sadly, yes. Deep down, I think a mill stone has been lifted from him, personally. He has gradually cut a forlorn figure ever since the sacking of SOD. He has been looking for a way out for sometime, as his mojo had long since gone. I think even if TB does go and the SC deal comes through, JR will not return. Listening to radio Sheffield this morning, I think he is looking for the easy life and winding down. Who can blame him? Many many thanks John, WE TRUELY HAVE LIVED THE DREAM!  :scarf: :rtid:

if that is the case i think JR would have Stepped down after a home game
And taken everything in after going into the  stands and pitchside.

The fact that he has left the way he did so close to kick off against Barnsley tells me he was desperate and maybe not thinking straight.

which gives ME hope that he might be back at the  helm again .

But if iam wrong,it will not be the  first or last time

He's been giving out mixed messages , when asked in his interview after the Barnsley game he said he would come back as chairman under a completely new regime.
Then tonight on Calender he said he wouldn't come back , so it's anyone guess.

To me, it looks as if he's trying to look like a victim or a martyr. Which just won't wash as the whole situation seems to be of his own making it seems to me.

Spot on Glyn. Leave in the most dramatic way possible - the only other more dramatic way would have been for him to run onto the Oakwell pitch naked with a sandwich board reading "I'm leaving because I can't get my own way. The other owners are Satan" - cut a poor forlorn figure to the media, whip up a frenzy against TB (and presumably DW) as impeding an amazing investment opportunity (!) to move the club forwards (ahem), stand back and watch the infighting ensue... With the end desired result of the KM2 feeling sufficiently pissed off to take the SC deal and leave, leaving JR to resume control solo with the backing of SC.

He who shouts loudest is the key here, regardless of whether the facts are actually true.

There was no meeting between TB, anyone representing him and SC last week. A red herring and the bait was well and truly taken.

I see that one slipped past the eagle eyes of the hungry vultures Mark. I happen to agree with the last paragraph btw. And the reason which you put so carefully and so well.

If he wanted to go out with a bang he could have held on for a couple of weeks to the Yeovil game on Sky and announce it to the world of his intentions.

It may be a glamour tie but the whole planet probably won't be watching our game with Yeovil.

In a couple of weeks maybe the money might have run out.
