Billy Sharp lifted Rovers as a club. Don't know why he went to Reading when he could have come here if he'd been willing to lower his wage demands. Shame really. Love the bloke to bits.
Billy Sharp lifted Rovers as a club. Enthusiasm, loveable, a fantastic player and a genuine bloke. Macheda has a point to prove and seemed a very good prospect, if a little raw. Tough one for me because I can see the merits of both. Billy is what, three years older now? Hasn't played a great deal in the past couple of seasons. Don't know why he went to Reading when he could have come here if he'd been willing to lower his wage demands. Shame really. Love the bloke to bits.
Can't we be greedy and have both?
goals aside, it would have to be billy. more importantly would be the massive injection of feel good - at a time when the club really needs it. it would galvanise the supporters again I feel.
