What do you think a Supporter Liaison Officer would do?

Disagree! Think our SLOs are very proactive and have dealt with issues that directly affect me as a fan. What would you do differently islerover? I'm sure they would love your structured feedback?

Never needed them to sort anything out and doubt I ever will as I just go to games home and away and I am able to find my own way around, but might use em to help me knit one pearl one

What do they do ?

We act as a communication channel between the club and the fans, informing the club of the fans point of view and vice versa. If fans want the club to do something we ask for that to be done, and if it can't then we ask the club for the rationale behind that decision which we pass on to fans.

We also attend as many matches as possible and have been on hand to assist the liaison between supporters and stewards at both home and away game.

As an example Draytonian you made a point of asking on here if the away match at Middlesbrough could be shown in the Belle Vue Bar for fans that couldn't get to the game. We used that to go to the club and as a result the game was shown in the BVB.

The key thing is that we are both supporters of the club who are volunteers in the role, something that very few other football clubs do, we believe that by having the SLO's as volunteers it allows us to remain impartial and not just simply be a voice of the club.

We are here for the benefit of both the supporters and the club, we want fellow fans to use us as a communication channel and welcome feedback.

Edit: While it may be available in the future, we don't plan to launch an SLO Knitted range any time soon!

The simple answer is we don't know as we were at the game. We can however ask Lindley's for an indication of how many.

We took the suggestion to the club after you posted it on here and it got support from people and the club agreed to open the Belle Vue Bar precisely for that purpose. Middlesbrough then went on to announce the £12 tickets which may have enticed more people to make the journey for the match.
