When's the fixture list out?

Now then. After getting up at 4am to watch Rovers on the web, I've had 12 hours to reflect.

We're all gutted at the moment. So near and yet so far. Painful the way we went down and the last seven games have been dire....

BUT...

I feel fully confident that Paul Dickov, the club's owners and management know what the plan is for next season and what moves need to be made. As PD says, meetings have already taken place and it would be folly if relegation had not been discussed as a possible outcome.

The manager is learning his trade. I like him and think he has great potential. We'd be foolish to act rashly and get rid. Over the course of a season in what is a very strong league we've gone down on goal difference. We weren't 10 points adrift at the foot of the table. We weren't there to make up the numbers.

We showed when we have the right players fit that we can compete at that level.

We are all entitled to our opinions - I believe Dickov remains the right man for the job. We don't hire and fire like many clubs and I like that.

What we do need though is someone of Mal Purchase's calibre back as fitness chief. That's a must have I reckon.

As for the squad, I wouldn't change too much, if we can keep the core of these lads together and add where I am sure those that make the decisions know additions need to be made. A stable club behind the scenes will be good too. I am sure all the turmoil last season was not productive.

I think we can rest assured that there's a list of players to be targeted and I'd start the work on Monday. Let's have continuity and give Dicky a fair crack at it.
