Laptop

I'm after a cheap second hand/refurbished laptop with Office on it if anyone can suggest anywhere. Nothing flash just for a bit of work I need to do that's all. I've managed to get to 30 without ever owning a computer!

Yeah, ebay will be your best bet Gaz.  I've sold a couple on ebay over the years.  A decent working machine should cost you about £80.  Dont worry about Office - it is expensive and now virtually impossible to "creatively" license (not that I would advocate such a measure).  Try instead the free OpenOffice or its offshoot project Libre Office.  Both open and save files in the Office document formats and are pretty good for nothing.

What about the place that used to be Nelsons, or bacchus on high street?

I've used these numerous times.  They're dirt cheap, do clearance and refurb stuff as well as new and they're only in Huddersfield.

Office will be the killer though, it's not cheap to buy and the stuff you get off ebay has a better than even chance of having a hooky copy on it.  If you're not bothered about legality it's still relatively easy to find to download.  A better alternative is Libreoffice.  It's free and unless you're going to be dealing with pivot tables and macros it's more than equal to Microsoft.
