Knights Final / Bradford City Double Header
« on March 24, 2015, 09:33:50 am by Donnywolf »
We alluded to this earlier in a Viking Chat thread but trying to get some idea of "what may be possible"

First fact ... Knights B&I Cup Final will be a sell out and Kicks Off 17.10 on Good Friday. It IS live on Sky and it should be possible to watch it and still get down to Rovers v Brad City given some forward thinking on the Parking near Knights for a quick getaway *

* Not sure if it was a draw on 80 minutes (unlikely) whether it goes to Extra Time or not

However given it is on Sky where is the nearest Pub that will have it on please ? Cheswold ? Park Inn ? Beefeater ? I rarely go to any so don't know any more

Then there is possibility of Rovers doing some cross sport promotion. We wondered in the OP whether Belle Vue Bar might be "up" for showing it and maybe the SLO's can ask the question - if enough people were wanting to watch the Rugby ? There is the matter of Bournemouth v Ipswich on the Telly before Rovers kick off and people may prefer to watch that ....and I think it DOES clash with the Rugby

Another question though .... If BVB are "up" for showing the Knights game can the Telly's in there show different Channels ... Rugby on one and Bournemouth on the other ?

Don't give the option.

KNights is far more relevant

Agreed. I know rugby is not everyone's cup of tea but it isn't often a local team gets to a cup final. Show the Knights on all screens.

In any case, I always get the feeling that "it could have been us" whenever I see Bournemouth these days.

Looking smart the other day ... is it going to be Flats or go back to being The Park ?

Last I heard (and it was some time ago) it was going to be an Iceland with flats above it....whatever it's going to be it's  been slow progress

Big John, if I went to the Doncaster v Nottingham game tomorrow, which beer and pie would you recommend?

Tetleys Bitter and Tetleys Gold usually available. I go for the latter

Food wise I don't eat much Red Meat BUT everyone seems to love the Cow Pie with Chips and Mushy Peas - personally I have Chicken Curry and Chips at around £3.30 and worth every penny imo

There is an extensive Menu though in "Café" below Main Stand and don't be put off by the queues if there are any because they have it really organised.

I will be there around 1 pm ... and hopefully COULD see Knights make themselves "safe"

I don't think it has been on the last few weeks when I've been in pre match. :(

I'm just glad that they didnt put the rugby on at the KM.
The pitch was shocking against Peterbro after the two rugby games had been played on it.

Anyone have an update from a SLO or advice on a pub that may be showing the game close to the KM please ?

Did not seem to be that much interest so I decided to look after No1

Got 2 Tickets for Main Stand at Knights on Tuesday (they were the last 2 together) and am going to risk the finish time the traffic and Parking. (Eyes on Danum GS then BT)

Its probably going to happen only once so I will go for it

Knights getting a bit of a battering 0 - 19 after 20 minutes, knights haven't been in the other half yet

This is probably the most one sided half of egg chasing I've ever seen 0-29 after 36 minutes and knights haven't been anywhere near the oppostions line

They certainly are ... too too good for Knights and thank god Donny put up a better second half performance as it would have been really embarrassing

They were 2/9 to win the Game ... and even with 10 Points start for Knights they were still 10/11

Then I had to endure Rovers performance as well ! Good Friday indeed
