Sammy, I certinly woudnt worry if anyone from that team who played yesterday left. Was there any of our players who was better than a Fleetwood player in the same position? Its about creating a squad and a team and you cant do that in two months. Have a look at last years League 1 table and see who was bottom this time last season - the team who are top of it this. Sometimes you need to go backwards to go forwards.

I must be gtting old... I still really have no idea how anybody, anybody at all, can be so ungrateful, so ungracious, so greedily spiteful to blame people for funding something that they themselves enjoy but pay little to support.

I'd have an awfuil lot more sympathy Acko if you chose to acknowledge the millions that is spent without prospect of it coming back and offered ideas about how we can, collectively, improve the situation. Whining, as you have done every single time I've seen your name on here, makes you look a fool and does nothing constructive at all.

Try thinking a bit.

Bob you no football does not work like that, most people believe if you see fit to buy a football club that you expect them to spend there money. Most football fans don't care if the books balance they want to go to a match be entertained meet there mates have a few beers and a laugh and watch there team win

I know Blackpool. I know. But it's the brazen selfishness of it all that gets me. People who don't see the value of what is being provided for them. Of course I'd like 10 times as much money to be spent on the team and the club. We all would. But I'm not such a git as to refuse to acknowledge the vast amounts of money that one or two kind people throw at MY sport and MY club already. I get to see something in which I am interested - at the expense of guys who don't have that interest. Yet they are still prepared to spend some of their own cash as a goodwill gesture to the whole town.

Some folk need to grow a sense of balance. A sense of proportion. A sense of gratitude. And no. That does not mean you cannot criticise. Plenty of folk on here have moaned long, loud and often at me for doing just that. That's fine. No problem at all with that. But I despise people who can't bring themselves to say thank you, or even see, what others continue to give them whilst they childishly and desperately pursue the unachievable. Like I said elsewhere, I blame Mrs Thatcher.

What I don't understand is if we have spent a lot on "decent" players, when was the last time we sold a player on for a substantial amount in transfer fees..................................errrrrrr I give up!

It was James Husband...sold at the age of 20.
So much for developing young players to play in the team.

You misunderstand the objective Lifelong. Husband did play in the team. And then he was sold to help pay the bills. That is entirely the business model of any club without either an Arab or a Russian at the helm.

Your agenda shines through. It's repetitive, boring, and, innacurate. You distort events to suit yourself and you select events likewise. It's painful to read tbh. How can anyone sink so low?

Is it the business model of clubs like Rotherham, Brentford or Bournemouth?

I think we did quite well out of the husband deal,we got main who from what little we have seen looks good. The problem being a small club we have 2 sell as there is a pretty fair chance husband wanted the move himself 2,I just wish we could have got a decent left back in

Thanks for helping me understand Bob.
So what your saying is we are developing young players to sell them to help pay the bills?
Funny, I haven't heard anyone from the club say that yet.
And it wouldn't be a great business model anyway when Husband has been the only youngster who we've managed to develop and sell during the last 15 years.
However, during that time we've come up from the Conference and played in the Championship.
How did we manage that without your business model or an Arab or Russian at the helm?
My agenda, as you call it, is simply my opinion.
I thought that's what the forum was for.
And, if it's so boring, why do you bother reading it and react to almost everything I post?

sorry bob if you feel i am whinging, but you must appreciate a buisness can only grow with investment and in football bums on seats is the way and that only comes with winning games and getting in a prominent league position.but why do our board contnue if they cant do that sell the club or accept the investment what was on the table, why do they think they are right and everyone else is wrong bit like you really

Problem is who will buy the club it's not as simple as that, the only thing I can't understand is why were not getting loan players in,now for me if it's down to pd I can't understand it as we have 1 of the best midfields when they turn up,now main is back we should be ok,maybe try get a young lad as back up,that just leaves the defence IMO we need a left back and 2 centre halfs

Investment on the table? What investment was that then?
