Now that just isn't true. John ryan wants you to believe that but he wanted to appoint Dickov in January when Saunders left and Flynn said after brentford that he wanted the job

I still believe it was mainly Jones that provided the 'lead by example' leadership that year we won L1. I'd give him a go. He has a lot of respect in that dressing room.

Flynn wanted paying for his work, shame. Did he not realise that's not sustainable?

Flynn did not want the job long term. He knew he wouldn't be offered the job long term. The players knew he wouldn't be offered the job long term. End of.

Not that old chestnut of Flynn got us up, he was presented the Championship side put together with no money( sounds familiar) by Dean Saynders, Brian was just very fortunate who struggled to keep it going but as we all know on that fabulous day at Brentford everything fell into place.

Not sure how you can say he struggled to keep it going when he actually improved our league position.

Would like to say as I know exactly what happened, he most definitely didn't want to step down. He wanted more involvement in the club and more of a say.

Absolute rubbish..Unless Flynn was lieing to me at the golf club when he said he realised he just didn't need that type of pressure at his age and wanted to go back to working out the public eye,he had enjoyed it but owed it to his family to take things easier than that at his age..

Wasn't he offered the Blackpool job over the summer? I presume he put his hat in the ring for that. Now there was a poisoned chalice!
