radio shitfield

Will they be true to form, continue their bias and have comentary of the blunts despite them being at home.
Or will the get on the romance of the fa cup and have us on?

My guess is they will stick us on AM despite most on Donny not getting the signal.

At the moment we are listed as the commentary game on Radio 5Live Sports Extra channel.  This is a digital radio channel also available online.

I don't think the RS commentaries are available online, so R5 Live is better for those of us outside the catchment area - and will work for those in it too.

The matches tonight are available online.  It is only league matches they can't have online. :rtid:

Thanks uptonson.

I wonder if it will be the same team providing commentary for R5Live Extra and RS, that would make sense both being BBC channels.

True, but that only applies to the FM game, we're on AM

When are they going to listen to us, the majority of us can't receive the am broadcast. They're wasting their time and resources.

My understanding is RS is a joint commentary with Radio Bristol tonight. Realistically this will be same one we can hear on 5 live xtra. For those who do continue to slaughter RS, then take two minutes to chat to them if possible. I think you'll be pleasantly surprised.

I wasn't surprised, I emailed them about us being on AM, especially when the Sheffield clubs are at home, explaining the fact that most of Donny struggle to receive AM, I explained that if they put the Sheffield games on AM and Rovers games on FM they would maximise listening figures. I just got fobbed off and told they had no intentions of changing their policy on how they select matches to broadcast

They have been repeatedly told about AM in Donny and always fob it off they don't appear to even pass the complaints about reception on to the technical guys they usually tell you to get in touch with the techies

The match on AM is always on DAB, suggest you get a new radio, DAB is great in Donny. :rtid:

WSM's ground doesn't have the facility to support Radio Sheffield's technical requirements.  The game is on AM, DAB and you can listen over the internet.

Personally I think RS do a good job, sensible comments (from the broadcasters) and give all the teams in our region fair coverage.

Easy.

They press the "AM" button for the Donny match and the "FM" button for the Blades match.

Exactly, so that bullshit excuse about not having the technical requirement for fm doesn't wash

Well it was the same for the Rovers Player. I assume that wasn't on. Was it?

Rovers player commentary was made from 2 rows back from us in the seats, great treat to have commentary and live footy.
