Rail to Oldham
« on January 04, 2015, 11:03:44 pm by SLO@DRFC »
Easiest route is to take the train to Rochdale (changing at Leeds/Halifax if you can) and then taking the Metrolink from Rochdale to Westwood or Freehold. Both of these are just over a mile from Boundary Park (Now named the Sportsdirect.com Stadium) and can be a steady walk. Its usually about £2.90 return.

If the Metrolink isn't for you then the 409 bus from Rochdale (every 10 mins) takes you directly to Boundary park in about 25 minutes.

If you're coming in from Donny I'd echo the advice above.  Don't be tempted to catch the quick service through Sheffield to Manchester Picadilly and catch the tram from there as the trams aren't running from the City Centre to Rochdale and Bury this weekend and it's replacement buses to Central Park which can get very busy and are much slower.
