Is that from Facebook or Twitter? If the latter I can't see anything from JR's account since January.

It wouldn't surprise me if he has sold up. Question is- to whom?

"From now on JR will only communicate with Rovers fans through the DRSG"

Here's the earlier post from around 9pm last night:

John Michael Ryan
16 hrs · Davenham ·
To the fans of Doncaster Rovers,
I want to thank you for an amazing journey and an unforgettable experience. I have so many happy memories at Rovers and want to thank the past and present players, managers, all the staff and you the fan.
It would make my day if we win promotion to the Championship, as we were cruelly relegated.
I will always support my home team DRFC and wish them all the best!
Thanks again, JR

Had always hoped, however unlikely it was, that he would find a place back within the club, even if its was just an ambassadorial role of somekind.

He seems to be making the point that his involvement with the club is officially dead, other than being a fan from afar. Sad, but people come and go from clubs I guess.

I do so hpe he is offloading his shares which are worthless, the issues are the loan to the club £3 million or thereabouts, and his failure to put his shoulder to the Cart in relation to putting money into the club.
And of course while ever he owns 25% of the club why should the other share holders put their money in when he isn't, if the KM 2 put a big chunk in it would to the benefit of JR.

It says in the Thorne Gazzette that The Free Press contacted him this morning and denied he was selling his shares
Hope the farewell messages are not because he is going down with Macca?   ;)
