Just spotted tonight for the first time ever a Lake opposite Wyndthorpe Hall in Dunsville
Given the fact I have passed there thousands of times (mostly with my eyes on the road of course but sometimes on Buses) I cant believe I have never seen it before
I say "it" but looking at Google Maps there are 3 of them. Have they been dug recently (since 2010) and are there fish in them. Any other info gratefully accepted.

I did offer that as an explanation Bob - because of the time(s) I have been by and never spotted the water. however THERE are 3 of them when you look on Google Maps and they are not "small"
Perhaps there have been a lot of trees and / or hedges removed which have opened up the view but I did not notice a change in the landscape.
I honestly was surprised - and another thing is I have never heard anyone mention them re fishing / swimming etc

They are for water storage for the farm on the edge of the village. The farmer is a Rovers season ticket holder. If memory serves me right, they did a deal to extract the clay and lakes formed provide water for the crops in times of water shortage.
