If I was not about to start a career  that will probably take me away from home quite a bit i would have been interested.

Having looked at job description on the link, I can't see anybody doing this for basically nothing.  Only unemployed or retired can find time for this. :rtid:

Not necessarily. I know quite a few SLOs who manage to fit this in alongside their normal job. But it is a vitally important role creating the link between fan and club.

The difficulty is the bi-monthly meetings held at 10:00am, obviously held in the majority of most peoples usual hours of work

That's why we encourage clubs to create a SLO team so as to share responsibilities and attendance at official meetings. We appreciate that not everyone will be available during normal working hours.
