Is there something going on here? Is he off and Dickov knows, so wont start him?

A blind man can see he's our best player. Why isn't he playing more?

Yes he is inconsistent but its not like we've anyone else performing in his place. Surely he's worth starting, even when he's not 'on it', he's no worse than the other options.

Strange.

He's been terrible at home this season, on his day he's our best player.
But this season all his best performances have been when he's come off the bench

Very strange. He's our best player by a furlong. People on here slate his attitude and say he's petulant because he got the two red cards, I think that's all rubbish. Has to start every week for me.

The thing with forrester is he's never had a run of starts in the team to get some consistency in his game, he's just in 1 week out the next.

I've slated him because when the chips were down in season-defining matches, he looked like a little kid. When Bristol City came out of the blocks snarling at us, he shite it. It was embarrassing to watch.

I don't care how much ability a player has, if he's had Andy Watson's heart transplanted into him, he's no use to us.

He was horrendous against Bradford, and deserves to be dropped.
Bennett came in and scored 2 at brammall lane, who would you drop?

Don't think he shines as a winger but it's obvious he has quality, if not balls. We need to find a system to get the best out of him or cash in.

Well if his attitude/heart/b*llocks is the reason he's not playing, lets hope whoever is in charge of player recruitment this summer does there homework properly this time.

We cant afford to have players like him on the bench because of a poor attitude. We should have known this before signing him!

I'd like him to have a run playing in the No10 position or off Main.

He has 9 goals this season from left midfield despite being benched for quite a lot of it.

He's clearly a class act and a potential match winner. He has off days - name me a League 1 winger/attacking midfielder who doesn't!

Cotterill was much the same and our idiot fans used to slate him all the time because he wasn't diving into tackles and winning aerial battles. Bet they wish we had him now after he practically won us the league last time (along with the skipper).

I'd like to see him have a run of games but I  think Messi would struggle to play off Main.

He should have been given the role of striker, after all he couldn't have done any worse. Come to think of it, I couldn't have done any worse.

Agreed. Given how well the 451 has worked this season and the fact that Harry, Kyle and Copps can all make things happen it makes send to try and find a way to accommodate them all.

The guy is a class act, & one of the best players in the league, it's the manager who doesn't use him properly that's the problem, I can honestly say he is the only player we have who can get me on the edge of my seat, he will go & be an excellent player for someone else I have no doubt. Yes inconsistent but what type players like him aren't, Coppinger?

In the hole strikes me as Forrester's best position. I don't think Dickov believes you can play Forrester, Bennett and Coppinger in the same team.

I can cope with inconsistency. I expect inconsistency. What I don't expect is players bottling it when sides like Bristol City and Bradford are doing the strong arm stuff.

I agree that Forrester is a highly talented player and has pulled out some sumptuous moments this season. But his performances in those matches were appalling. And it, appeared to me in the Bristol City match, to be because he wanted to get rid of the ball before a crunching tackle came in. There were 6-8 times in the first half where he booted the ball anywhere to avoid getting crunched. Just not good enough.

Didn't we play all three earlier on in the season (November-ish?) and we were absolutely dire for the few games it happened? I'd love all 3 to play together, because if all 3 were on form at the same time, it would be frightening, much like the Lampard/Gerrard scenario.

Wingers tend to be in and out of games a lot, Forrester if we keep him will develop into a very good player for us, nine goals is very decent to say he hasn't started quite a few games, i stick to what i have said before, our strongest players are our wingers.
Coppinger, Bennett and Forrester all are brilliant on they're day, but can become isolated at times, Bennett for me has improved massively this season.

SC

We CAN play those three players if we have a strong enough spine to support them all when the muck and bullets are being thrown around. We can't if we don't have a Jones/Keegan/Brown-type spine to accommodate them.

Totally agree on that, Butler coming in gave us one player of that type, we have missed Keegan sweeping up the mess in front of the back four, we need to retain Jones as back up and try somehow to get a younger version of him, right back is a bit of a problem for me, we need a good solid professional in there.
Wabara for me would suit playing as a wing back rather than in a flat four, just like Evina.

Exactly, when we had McIndoe back in the day, we also had several mesters who could do a job ie Doolan, Ravenhill, Ryan, this team is lightweight on that score.

foresters a very talented player as is bennet but you wont get it week in week out from either.brentford fans loved and hated him,but that's the way it is,people like nani of man unt, townsend of spurs can all be match winners on their day but consistency is not what you get

Agree with your comments I think Cottrrill has been our biggest miss this season. See how many time he either scores or sets up the goals for Birmingham.
