Thank you Brian. I failed to check the Belles result yesterday. A good day for everybody then - except the Rovers!

It could be an embarrassing day for Club Doncaster this afternoon.

I'm expecting a cricket score when the Dons take on Bradford Bulls.

Seems to me that some people want club doncaster to fail.  Cant fathom that out; as a proud Doncastrian exiled in Coventry I want all our sides to do well, even the Knights ( sying something being a Thornensian)

Not at all , on the + side Bradford should bring quite a few fans and put plenty of money in PD's war chest.

And thats why people dont like Club Doncaster, surely the money should be going into Paul Cookes war chest?

I wouldn't view losing to the Bradford Bulls as embarrassing unless you think they should win every game.

I reckon there's plenty who must have been fed crab apples as kids Naith.  You know? Makes everything sour and bitter.

Cheers

Knights signed off their season with another win today. They won 3 off last 4 games to keep their place in Championship.  Pity Rovers couldn't have shown same fight last season and this.

Read what i posted again , I never said losing to Bradford was embarrassing...i said the score could be.

Losing 38 - 54 at home is a decent effort .....i think  ,if you consider conceding 54 points at home acceptable.

It's no surprise they lost to Bradford, but they made a fight of it and didn't get hammered, they badly need a result to get started.
The Knight's really good even with very little to play for still won the game, if he can strengthen a bit they might push into the top half of the table, next season.

Listen to Bethany England call Keepmoat '" a great pitch"

http://www.doncasterroversbelles.co.uk/news/interview_england_postvilla.html#4ZKSR1UjogmydVJ1.97

Interesting that, Brian. I dare say they encounter pitches of variable quality but it is interesting to hear someone praise the much -maligned Keepmoat pitch. I wonder if it is an easy excuse to trot out when your home record is as poor as Rovers is?

Lol! If you've ever seen some of the shit that the Belles played on for years and years, the KM is a bloody top quality bowling green!

Seriously, the Belles played, home and away, on a lot of seriously poor pitches. I mean the sort of pitches you wouldn't let your kid play on. So I dontthink we can really take it as read that belles players, and women footballers generally will have a very balanced view of the merits and demerits of better quality pitches.

Professional footballers are spoilt with the pitches, pitches only get mentioned when things are not going well, Bradford turned they're 'Bad pitch' into an advantage in the cup, though in the end the bigger amount of games they had to play did for them in the promotion race.
