from keepmoat to european football

Former Doncaster Rovers defender Paul Quinn will be playing in Europe next season after signing for Scottish Premier League side Aberdeen.

Quinn left the Keepmoat last summer after actioning a clause in his contract allowing him to leave the club following their relegation from the championship despite having a year remaining on his deal.

The 29-year-old eventually joined Scottish Premier League side Ross County in October, making 26 appearances for the side before becoming a free agent at the end of last season.

Quinn has now signed a two-year deal with Aberdeen, who finished runners-up to Celtic in the Scottish Premier League table last season. Their second placed finish will see them competing in next season`s Europa League.

I wonder if he has a clause in his contract excusing him from pre season training? :)

I have a mutual friend - pq was badly advised by his agent last year and was contemplating ditching him! Mind you said mutual friend always maintained that as nice-a-bloke as quinny was, he wasn't the brightest button in the drawer! In hindsight - maybe he wasn't so badly advised or unintelligent after all! Lol!

Thought he held his own in the Championship. Steady rather than spectacular. Couldn't pass but could defend, which in my book is the key to being a defender. Bit unstable it seems though.

Much better centre half than full back.
