Yep - 123 league goals scored plus 11 FA Cup goals. Clarrie Jordan set the club record of 44 goals in all competitions (42 Lg + 2 FAC) and poor old Paul Todd scored 27 goals (24 in the League) and was nowhere near topscorer. However the next season he was topscorer................ with only 8 goals!

Others who scored 20+ without being topscorer, other than Alick mentioned above, were Reg Baines (21 in 1934-5 behind Albert Turner with 26), Alfie Hale with 21 (including 4 in the 10-0 against Darlo) in 1963-4 behind Colin Booth with 24, and Kitch with 24 in 1975-6 behind Big Bren with 28.

13 out of 15. Just 2 more players who have been topscorer 3 or more times..........

1997/98?

Prince Moncrieffe! If we had a Nick Knowles who dares wins tie-break type question to name Rovers post 1980 seasons' leading goalscorers I reckon he would challenge Dino Maamria to be the last answer......

I can see you now Brian:) I bet you're in your element! A cracking thread - apart from the fact it's proved the paucity of my knowledge....
