I remember been at a boro game with the brother inlaw he's boro mad by the way, shit game may I say ,one song started ringing round the ground and we both burst out laughing  take into account his son his gay and daughter is a lesbian, the song went is gay is bent is arse is up for rent the referee and the song was a few good years ago, point been if this lad can laugh at this banter why does everybody start jumping on the bandwagon, or out of order, worse than racists, why these coments? can no one have a laugh anymore it's not Whats said its how it's said, lighten up I say, surely you no when some ones haveing a laugh or been nasty

So to sum up, because you think it's funny the people it's directed at have to endure it regardless?
what you mean because I think it's funny? me brotherinlaw was laughing more than me mate, he saw the lighter side of it,

Well done to him, but there are many who have taken their own lives following years of 'banter'. On that basis, it's not right, it's outdated and just very, very sad.

cant understand why anyone would take there lives? Maybe years ago when yes it was taboo but now it's so open I can't believe anybody's botherd.think I'm so relaxed about it because we got a few in family like, nothing seems to phase them they have a good laugh. and if anyone thinks it's just players? I could take you to reading introduce you to a gay teacher one hell of a hard basted involved in a lot of Chelsea's dealings, point I'm makeing there that wouldn't be allowed to happen but now it's totaly different? I can't see this rugby player or any footballer who comes out geting upset at any banter, now if someone gets in there face and been nasty and rude then yes I class that as homophonic

Just because you don't understand it, doesn't mean it doesn't happen. Making fun of someone because of their sexuality isn't banter, it's homophobic harrassment and it's wrong, whether you, I, or anyone else agrees or not.
