Millwall Away - Internationals
« on September 16, 2015, 12:27:13 pm by DRFC-Hanksie »
Does anyone know the state of play with this fixture?

I've been told there's a fairly good chance of it being off with international call-ups. Can anyone enlighten me with any information from little dicky birds and grapevines afar, cheers.

Here you go:

Squads are usually named about 10-14 days before a game. So we should know towards the end of this month.

Could it? They played at the last international weekend.

Have a look at any other games in London and take one of them in - still plenty of time for a good drink either side of the game.

If you go to a non-League game you can probably enjoy a drink AND a game!

The international squads will start to be named next week, so we'll probably know then.

The fact that Millwall put another article on their website reminding fans that our game (and their match on 14 November) may be off makes me think the game will probably be rearranged.

They are already talking of a new date of October 27th and the fact Millwall keep going on about it, I would be surprised if it is not off.

Blackpool off ... better not be .. that cancellation would cost our group of four quite dearly.

I don't know where that has come from. The Blackpool game is on an international weekend, but Blackpool played at Scunthorpe on the September weekend.
Coventry, Millwall and the Blunts are the teams who boast several internationals and therefore might have games called off.

Interesting that no-one has actually been called up yet, although up to six Millwall players could be on international duty.

http://mobile.millwallfc.co.uk/news/article/new-date-for-millwall-v-doncaster-rovers-2710421.aspx

As I suspected last season when we called off a couple of games before the squads were announced, I think clubs are given advance warning that their players will be called up.
