My lad 8, got the Star Wars dvd box set for Christmas.
What order would you recommend watching them?
I watched 4,5,6 then 1,2,3 but wondered if the 1,2,3,4,5,6 would be a more logical run through.

It would be logical as 1 2 and 3 are the prequels, and it kind of sets up the rest of the saga to an extent.

4, 5, 6, then 1, 2, 3 for me. Otherwise "I am your father" isn't a big important twist, it's just something that happens. Although the prequels are guff so maybe only make your lad watch them if he's acting up.
I'm just hoping they get round to releasing the original non-special edition versions of the originals soon.

No idea how the "proper" numbering runs but I watched Star Wars in 1977, Empire Strikes back in 1980, Return of the Jedi in 1983 and at that point realised I was too old to be watching silly fairy stories set in space so not watched any of the others.
I'm apparently being dragged to see the new one next week. Can't wait.
