Last game of the season
« on March 19, 2016, 09:25:42 pm by Canadian Rover »
Party all round....we stay up, Burton win the league with a exciting 0:0 with no shots on goal from either team (fairly easy to arrange this on our part).

Which got me thinking how many times in last 10 seasons have we been playing the team who were top of the league in our last fixture? Off hand Wolves & Leicester? (And I guess once we were top too)

I have the same feeling it might be 0-0 last game of the season, nothing to back it up it's just i have thought that's how we will end the season.

I think Burton will want to end their season with a win and the championship, we could already be relegated.

You missed 05/06 Rigo.

We needed to win at Tranmere and have Forest lose at Bradford and Swansea lose at Chesterfield for us to make the play-offs.

Unlikely, but after about 20 mins, we were 1 up, Forest were 1-0 down and Swansea were 0-0. The away end at Prenton Park was rocking.

As it happened, we won, Forest drew and Swansea stuck 4 in.

I just hope we don't feel we have to give Burton the dreaded "guard of honour", especially if we need a result to stay up or are already relegated

What price a mark Duffy goal sends us down?

I can just see it.

Whatever our situation, if Burton go up as Champions we should give then a guard of honour, out of respect and courtesy. Boston did it us at their place when we the Div 3 Championship. If it's Burton's turn we should be sporting and reciprocate, plus they are making history, by going into the Championship for the first time in their history, Burton v Aston Villa, next season!
