Confirmed transfers 16/17
« on May 19, 2016, 12:32:09 pm by Copps is Magic »
Can we have a new thread for confirmed transfers?

Newport County
Signed 26 year old defender Jamie Turley from Eastleigh on two-year deal.

Barnet
They have lost Andy Yiadom, their captain full-back who has gone to the Dingles

Crawley Town
Signed 23 year old midfielder Enzio Boldewijn from Dutch second-tier club Almere City on a two year deal.

Notts County
Not a player transfer but they are currently under a transfer embargo because of unpaid bills to HMRC

Colchester U
Again not much news, other than former rovers player Kevin Horlock has been appointed their u21 coach.

You missed Tommy Rowe - or are you listing other L2 clubs and not us?

I know it's not transfers but there are some interesting things going on in this league. The Accrington manager has come out and said don't expect them to emulate their high finish next season. The Crewe manager has come out and said he can't bring players in because they are 'bottom of the list' when most players are chosing clubs. Blackpool yesterday sacked Neil McDonald and are once again without a manager. Meanwhile in Carlisle they are celebrating the 1-year anniversary of a supposed £1billion take-over bid that half of their fans now think was made up!

I think league 2 looks week next season, apart from us I can't see the other relegated teams doing anything. Us, Portsmouth and Luton way ahead of the rest.

Romantic as the AFC Wimbledon story is, I hope Plymouth win the play offs. That will be another big fish out of the pool.

It will also mean we don't have to make a 500 mile round trip on a Tuesday night!

I have to agree. Reading around I can't find many clubs in a positive situation. I would suggest the promoted teams from the conference would be ones to watch out for.

Plymouth/Wimbledon, Pompey, Accrington, Leyton Orient, Cambridge, Carlisle, Luton, Mansfield, Wycombe, Exeter, Barnet, Hartlepool, Notts County, Stevenage, Yeovil, Crawley, Morecombe, Newport, Cheltenham, Grimsby

Doesn't fill me with joy but we've only got ourselves to blame. Automatic has to be minimum surely!?

Carlisle
Signed Nicky Adams, previously of the Northampton. Most assists in the league last season.
Also close to signing Morton defender Joe McKee

Crawley
2nd signing of the summer winger Jason Banton, former England u17, but now lower league fodder apparently.

Grimsby
Lost one of their best players, Jon Nolan, to Chesterfield
