The situation with Marosi is puzzling because I expected him to be released. But he wasn't and neither does he seem to have been offered a new deal.

Stuckmann and Etheridge would seem an ideal pair of keepers, but that ship seems to have sailed!

Marosi probably isn't on much wages. It could be a case of strengthen the other areas first then if we've got funds left over we'll go for another keeper if not we'll keep Marosi as backup.

I do wonder what's gone on with Stuckmann and Fergie. As above, Stuckmann and Etheridge would be a very good pairing in League 2. Stuckmann had a couple of howlers but early on in the season he was in great form. Was Stuckmann at Preston with Fergie? Is there history?

We need at least two strikers, right back another centre half and keeper I would say.

Assuming McSheffrey signs I think we need another striker, two defenders and a keeper. On the last one, I wonder if Marosi is being offered the chance to stay as back up to Etheridge?

I would agree with that. Where the two defenders are concerned, I think we need another centre half and a left back. Right back is covered with Alcock and Lund, but there's a definite void at left back, especially with ATS out til next year. And we always needed two central defenders - Baudry is an excellent start so hopefully one more on the way.

Id be worried if Marosi was back up because they are two young lads. I would prefer a more experienced one that Etheridge can battle with for the shirt and an experienced keeper may help to develop Etheridge more.

I'd go after Neil Alexander as a player/goalkeeping coach. He was Hearts number one last season, he would put genuine pressure on for the number one spot, while also be able to pass on his vast experience to etheridge and the other keepers.
