Promotion and payment.

Great effort with still 5 games to play, the whole club appears to have settled into a groove where there is cooperation between owners, management, players and fans.
Can the brains trust please explain what payments there are to league 1 clubs, I found this but do not understand what it means.

League 1 and League 2 clubs will receive 4.5% and 3% of a third-year payment, respectively.

Assuming nothing has changed, I believe the 3rd year parachute payment (meaning the amount of a money a team gets in their 3rd season after dropping out of the Prem) is £14 million.

Under the current system all Championship clubs get 30% of that (4.2 mil), L1 clubs get 4.5% (630k) and L2 clubs get (420k)...if my maths is right, it's still early, haha. :D

630k is better than a poke in the eye with a blunt stick, thanks for the info Superspy.

The PL solidarity payment was worth £360k for a LG2 club this season. Further EFL distributions totalled £750k. LG1 clubs get more but not substantially so.
