The dodgy tv boxes all channels
« on November 05, 2017, 10:03:19 am by balbyrover »
Endless arguments with sky and i am at my wits end with them now so thinking of investing in one of these.
Do they work reliably? Which ones the best one to get? How much was it and can anybody point me in the right direction for somebody who deals with them?

I'm happy with my firestick although I don't use it too much. There are loads of problems in Bradford with people breaking into Skoda and VWs to take their built in sat nav. They then take the chip out and use it in these boxes.
British Rail even have a notice in their Pudsey station car park warning that they can't garauntee the safety of these makes of car. I know owners of both makes that have suffered from this.

That guy in Sunderland just made big news by being the first supplier of Firesticks with Kodi "built in" when he got jailed (or possibly suspended sentence) but that established the principle that those converting them / those selling converted ones (like he was) / and those using them are ALL committing a criminal offence

The likes of SKY reckon the days of these sticks is now numbered. Just saying. I had one but it was pretty crap. It was erratic at best. The best way to describe it was - if there was a game I wanted to watch it would play up - but if there was a Prog on like "Weeds - a fascinating insight into their Life Cycle" it would work faultlessly

As I have disposable income I got a Smart TV and subscribed to Now TV which works "quite well" but is nearly 40 a month for Sports and Entertainment

what tv do you have? If you have an LG or Samsung smart tv it should be loaded with the iptv app. Any other smart tv you can try and load it. If you can give me a shout and I may be able to help you.

If you cancel your subscription all together you will still get a ton of channels, it depends what you watch. We watch showbox streamed to the TV and have netflix..

Mind you, we don't watch too much TV, I love YouTube and it's obscure documentaries. We rent a Samsung smart TV, so its lovely. But if I still had the old one I'd use the hdmi cable.
