Gaz, as you know I have criticized Alfie a lot, last night he did his normal quota of running, but was well marked. What he did to score was hit the ball on the turn first time,without taking a touch too many, it did not allow the defender time to block although he did deflect it. But that's what I want to see off Alfie, be more of a danger in the box. He did his job to me, he scored and that is what he is paid for.

Yes, that was much more what I like to see from him and just got on with it. (Apart from the retaliation for which he got booked). He just needs the goals to back up his work rate.

As far as I could see the ref wasn't going to take any action till then
