Mason has developed greatly this season. Last year I thought he was nothing to pin any hopes in. This year he has got better week by week. He’s a very impressive young player and if he keeps on improving like this, he’s got an excellent Championship-level career ahead of him.

If he has a full season next year at right back i think we'll be seeing a championship quality player by the end of it. Hopefully there's nothing in this rumour and its just agents playing games at contract renewal time....

I reckon that Mason will continue to improve next season.
It shouldn’t be overlooked that last season was his first as a regular first team player.

If he can learn and play in tandem with Andrew on the left, he could be a really good asset.

I'd slap a nice hefty price on him. He should be our regular RB next season. Come on leaps and bounds this  term. Good young player. Villa were mugs!

Can’t understand some of the negative comments about him, I think he has been excellent for us, yes he has had the odd bad game but everyone does

About six to eight matches ago, he was really poor in two or  three games on the bounce, and  was dropped, and got back in when Blair was injured. Playing left back at Rotherham he was murdered, especially in the last half hour.
   In the last four games he has found some form. and has played well, He has improved this season, and it shows, last season he was poor for long periods, especially in the last six games, when him and Alcock were terrible, credit to the lad, whether it is experience or confidence he is looking a far better prospect, and is at last also offering something getting forward, something that was just not in his game last season, and the first half of this. Lets hope that cross encourages him to do it more often.
    I think him taking and scoring the penalty at Bristol has given him a little more self belief.

I think we'd struggle to find a better right back for the same wage. Mason is  a very clever player who will only improve. His downfall is his versatility, if he played more games in one position he'd improve quicker.

Which makes him - arguably - the best 12th man Rovers have.

It strikes me that Mason's agent is holding out for a better deal. He seems to be testing Darren Ferguson's nerve to get the best deal possible for the player. Many agents rely on this tactic.

It's high time that nerve agents were banned from this country.
