Pointless. Pardew would've been a good bet to get them back up.

I’m sick of all the same shite on the managerial merry go round. I hope Darren does well and they give him the job. It would also be good to see another black manager

I couldn’t disagree more, he’s an average manager and a far below average person.

A good bet based on what? His most recent experience in the championship, 10 years ago, when he was sacked after dragging a fancied-Charlton into the bottom 3? Or the fact that he’d forged such a good relationship with his WBA players that they’d rather publicly go out on the piss than knuckle down and fight for survival. The only surprise for me here is that he’s lasted this long, well that and that he got the job in the first place.

I cant really comment on WBA except to say that half of my ancestors will be turning in their graves whilst the other half of my ancestors will be laughing their socks off as Wolves take WBAs place in the Premiership

I realise they need to stay in their respective new places for a long long time to redress the recent balance of power of course !

Need some Old Gold and Black Flowers for my Dads grave soon ! He gets Red and White when Rovers win something and Old Gold when Wolves do. There have not been many of the Old Gold ones lately and cant see many more going forward as they misx with the big boys !

Wolfie, I don’t know how it came about but when I was about 8 or 9 years old, I somehow had a Wolves shirt given to me.
I had some cousins who lived at The Poplars in Thorne and we had a football pitch of sorts on the land behind the houses and I remember playing there in the shirt.
At the time of course (late fifties going into the sixties) Wolves were a very big club.

To my eternal shame also, I have to admit that my first photo in a football shirt was in a Sheff Weds one but keep that between me and you.

It was before my first Rovers game in 1962 though as a ten year old so I hadn’t found my real love at the time of the photo.

That's a good idea for a whole new thread. " What was your first ever football team shirt ?".
I'm sure there'd be some very interesting answers 😀

My first shirt was an AC Milan shirt, early '70's. Loved that shirt.

I told my mam I wanted a Wolves shirt gold and black.
She bought a bright yellow with a v neck from the army stores in the market place. I hated that shirt and finally managed to lose it.
To be fair you didn't have much choice in the 50s compared with these days.

It wasn’t my first shirt but I remember my old man went to Milan with work and brought me back a Milan shirt. It was the year after they won the Champions League I think because it came with a badge of the trophy that had to be sewn on seporate. Quality shirt it was, that kind of silky material. I still had it until recently but can’t find it anywhere for the life of me. Gutted.

My first one what I can remember was a Chelsea shirt in 1970. Remember it well as it got me beaten up a few times at school from all those weeds fans. Followed Chelsea as it's the family's team, hated weeds ever since 😀

I don't remember replica shirts really being a thing before the 1980s. My first was a Rovers hooped shirt (CIL were the sponsor) circa 1983. After that I don't recall buying another till around 1994.

Although my school team shirt was a dead ringer for the Coventry City one of the early 70s. Sky blue with black collar, cuffs and V-neck.

The 83/84 green away shirt. Got it for my birthday and then a few weeks later my old man took me to Harrison Sports in town and got CIL on the front and 9 on the back. Duggies number at the time.

Austin had left before the 83/84 season. Douglas and Moss up front that season.

I bet you were f*cking glad that Austin had left as well, Craig; I certainly was.
