Released players
« on May 07, 2018, 10:00:26 am by dickos1 »
I was speaking to the guy I know yesterday and he said Baudry was gutted to be released so it wasn’t his choice, but was decided with the physio looking at how often he’s been available during his time.
They rate Garrett but he can’t get his head around what needs to be done to get better and doesn’t carry out what the coaching staff advise him to do away from the pitch.

It’s a shame about Baudry with his injuries over past 2 seasons but if that’s true about Garrett then he only has himself to blame and I’m glad they’re releasing him.

We need players here with the right attitude to progress and learn.

I bet that the Mandeville situation is the same as Garrett too.

Also apparently wth mandeville, Colchester signed him because one of their strikers was leaving. And in the end that move broke down so the player stayed. Hence why mandeville didn’t get many starts.

That’s mandevilles side of the story anyhow

To be honest the Mandeville situation I’ve heard is the same as Garrett, so I’m not disappointed to see him transfer listed.

Mandeville has a bit of ability but you need the personality to go with it. It’s a serious business making it as a footballer. Looks like he will end up with the dozens of other kids churned out by our youth system on the scrap heap. Are we instilling the right mentality into our youth players?

Not too sure Gaz but I reckon we will see this season with the youngsters that have just come through.

He came to us at 15/16. If he's already a knob head then you're not going to change him too much in a couple of years. He probably does the bare minimum in training too.

The story I have about Mandeville is that he takes nothing in, oh by the way Selby qualifications only indicate that you are good at the thing you studied, common sense is a far better indicator of being able to get through life and apparently he doesn’t have any

Dead right, mate; I've got a degree, and yet most of the time I'm as daft as a f*cking brush.

Steve we joined that club at PJGS, but it was fun while it lasted.

It certainly was, Brian; Derrick Downing and I went to a re-union there in 2006, a few years before they demolished the place; I was amazed at some of the blokes that used to tower above me at school, and now it's the other way round; either I've grown or they've shrunk.

I heard about that, Tommy, after the event; I was gutted I'd missed it.
