Cotterill retires

Just seen his statement on Twitter - sorry folks don’t know how to repost on here. Basically saying it’s time for him to hang his boots up after a 14 year career - he was the best deliverer of set pieces I can recall in a Rovers shirt.

On a footballing level it’s sad because he still had more to give - but on a human level it’s understandable considering his ongoing battle with depression.  All the very best for your future David

Like you said one of if not the best on the ball we've ever had.  Off the ball very average, but one of those worth the admission price for what he would do.
Brave decision hope he really has a happy life out of football.
My neighbour also during his time with us.

Gutted, he could’ve carried on easily improving and getting the chance he deserved... and I’d have had him back here like a shot, still would!!
Hope he enjoys his retirement and time with his loved ones.
