I wonder what store does McCann places  in games like these , do they benefit a  first team of those involved that are on sat on the bench come Saturday or is it for just minutes in the pitch for players like Rowe ; who maybe off in the January window? . It looked a strong line up on paper so 2 up to 3-2 down isn’t a good result either way .

On a positive note, the under 18 team came from two down to draw with top of the league Grimsby.
In four or five years time we will be in good shape when players come through into the first team.

On a likewise positive note, we're two points behind Peterborough, and were unlucky not to beat them earlier when we played them in the league.

Th good thing as we only take positives from these games. So Rowe, May Blair and Taylor got game time and the later two scored. I assume three of those will have been substituted at some stage to protect them for Saturday.

Hound we should have sent the second team to play the Grimsby U18's and our U18's to Peterborough for a fairer test of both sides. RJ there hasn't been many games that don't count this season then.

We don’t know what sort of side Peterbro put out do we.

Anyway, it was a reserve friendly match, so more about giving players game time so I don’t really see why it is an issue that Peterbro won.

If you are getting at me with that Nick I am sorry to inform you that I know exactly what was being implied and who RedJ was aiming his post at.

Fair enough, just appeared as though you completely missed the intended sarcasm with what you replied.

No problem mate.
Actually Nick, the sarcasm was in my original post on this thread (post #2).
The line about us being ok in four or five years time.

I hope we can get rid of him, and bring someone in with a future at the club.
