I assumed that chant was just because they're both black too, not very imaginative. I don't even think Balotelli is known for having highlighted hair, is he? I may be wrong.

Yesterday was Batshuayi's 30th appearance of the season and his 10th since the start of December.

If that was him being rusty, I'd hate to see him after a proper lay off.

That touch when he broke through one on one with Marosi was sub-Conference standard.

All players are susceptible to a bad touch now and again.

He wasn't very good yesterday but his record everywhere except Valencia shows he's a decent player. Only 25 too so his peak years are probably ahead of him.

Possibly sound similar? And Balotelli is possibly the most high-profile dog sh*t flop in the Premier League this decade.

Wouldn't class it as racist, nor world I read anything into it whatsoever.

As has been pointed out elsewhere, Batshuayi's touch later on, in the one-on-one was absolutely horrendous. That should have been 3-0, game, set and match.

Aye that's fair Rigo, like I said it was my initial reaction of "what's the connection there?". I'm certainly not one of the people branding it racist, I and the people I sat with had a chuckle about the chant speculating on the meaning at the time.

All that matters to me is how he performed on the pitch, and he was bobbins.

Not once did it cross my mind the chant was or intended to be racist.

I think some people look for things to be offended about these days
