Putting aside whats gone on in his personal life for one minute,it has to be said that as a footballer we really do miss him on the pitch..

Blair going forward is excellent but it's not his natural position and whilst he does a decent job,he gets found out defensively against the better players..

Lewis is the opposite,a good old fashioned right back defensively but when he goes forward he is found wanting, cant cross, delays passes etc etc..

Thing with Mason is that he is good at both the defensive and attacking side and just gives the team so much more balance for me...

Whilst none of us know for sure whether we will see Mason in a rovers shirt again for sure,if we don't then regardless were we finish this year if GM wants to stay with wing backs then he has to go out and find a replacement on a like for like basis because it's not Lewis or Blair long term..

It would be good for the process to be decided and because we are missing Mason. If we won’t have him for  the rest of the season then the club will decide.

I don't know if you saw the match yesterday Alan, but Lewis looked a good player last night and in no way let the team down.

The op wasn't specifically based on last nights game, more on what we've seen so far Selby..Personally I think as soon as he gets over the half way line he struggles picking the better passes and his delivery is found wanting..Before the half way line he's excellent which is why I think his best position is a proper right back..Good footballer no doubt though I agree.

Lewis as been excellent wen he has plaid, good defender, can beat a player, good at crossing and links play well, can use both feet and has a very good throw in, only young and will get better and better fits the bill for me.

We will have to sign a right back in the summer to replace Mason and I'm sure McCann will have it as a priority once he knows for definite, although I have a feeling everyone involved already knows that Mason's time is up at DRFC and we are maybe just waiting to quietly release him at the end of his contract in June.

Alias, I for one hope your 'feeling' is well wide of the mark!

Yes, he's made a mistake, but who hasn't in life? For me, as a caring Club, we should be advising and helping the young man. And, he has been missed - badly.
