Shame he didn't score tonight but run the line excellently
and had three assists to his name.

Worked his balls off today. I was praying he could get a goal.

Yeah, John played a blinder tonight and I too was willing him to score.
Perhaps he should have headed that Sadler cross in.
Overall though he was a right thorn in the side of the opposition.

He did score. Shame it was offside by Alfie May.

He wouldn’t have scored though if the said Alfie May hadn’t set it up for him.

I thought Marquis assist for the fourth goal deserves a mention , let’s face who have thought of making their defence believe that you had completely messed your own opportunity only to disguise it with a back heal to your team mate to score the goal of the game.....genius!!!!😂

He should have scored the one Sadlier put on his head but nevermind. Another tireless, relentless display from our talisman. The goal WILL come soon!

The one-touch passing and movement for that disallowed goal was sublime. Goal of the season if May hadn't been fractionally offside.

Agreed Billy. Was he offside then? I couldn't trust anything the West stand Lino did all night!

Shit though and should've sold up in January if you listen to the people in the South Stand...

I thought he played well  He’s obviously very frustrated by his lack of form. Hopefully he will score soon and go on a run

I also thought that Alfie May played well when he came on. I was hoping we might have got another look at hasani especially at 4-1
The other one that looks like a player is Sadlier

The moment before Sadlier struck the ball I knew it was a goal, his body shape was perfect and he never tried over hitting it, he knew exactly where he wanted to put it

Interesting that so far no one has mentioned the way Marquis laid the ball back perfectly for Copps to strike the second goal.
A superb centre forward piece of play.

what i find bizarre about JM is that when he's on fire, he is unplayable, but to say he's black and white is an undertatement.  Im not on about effort or commitment, thats 100% all day long,  will never stop running for every last ball!,   thats not even up for debate.  But his actual footballing skill when he's going through a drought seems to desert him as well.  there were several times last nite, he was in midfield, received a pass, and either didnt know what to do with it, or just played a bad layoff to someone.  Herbie Kane he is not....  That said, if he's fit, he plays 90 minutes of every game still for me... Leave the midfield stuff for the midfielders, get on the shoulder of the last defender and cause havoc!,   Thats where most of the time he shines!

He will have been picked in the league one team of the year for good reasons..

His work rate reminds me of Chris Brown, but with twice as many goals.!

sadlier could quite easily become the new david cotterill,  but with more work rate between each wonder goals!!!

The Sadlier goal was good but he also had 2 other chances the he got totally wrong, still learning though and looks to be a decent player

Think he needs one to go in off of his arse to get him going again!
Had a good game last night, just sick of seeing his arms waving around when he doesn't get an inch perfect pass. Should've definitely hit the target with the header in 2nd half, amongst other sitters he's missed over last 6 or 7 games. Nigel Adkins was sat behind me in East Stand last night, wonder if he was there to see Marquis...
