What seems odd in this case is that the bloke who was killed was reported to be a railway enthusiast working in that sector.

Billy - it’s embarrassing, I can see there is going to be a knee jerk reaction and I work in elf and safety.
To be honest I didn’t think you could still open windows on trains to that extent.
The gene pool needs thinning out anyway

The 125s that still run on some services from Sheffield to St Pancras still have pull-down windows on the doors. I just can't understand how any sober adult would stick their head out so far without some alarm bell ringing in their head.

Surely common sense has to come into it a little.

However the windows shouldn't be allowed to open like that, imagine if a child was to do this.
