These idiots aren’t Rovers fans. No way.
If the club is so crap why bother.
They just come on here to wind the true supporters up.
Unfortunately they are succeeding.
We should not give these idiots the time of day.

Just completely ignore all their posts.
Well i am as they are not worth our time or the aggravation.

Just because they don't think the way you do doesn't mean they don't care this club. They just want different things.

They may care old fruit, but they lack the ability to express themselves in a way that is other than pessimistic,
If you can’t find anything positive to write, it’s not mandatory to write something negative for the sake of it....

and actually being able to reply to a criticism using things like logic, facts, context, and the truth will always help the debate along...

I imagine your the type who doesn’t like winners on sports day at school, who encourages its the taking part that counts, who when we’ve been relegated in the past said “ah well it’s only a game”

More than happy with the cash for Marquis. A decent striker for sure and fantastic for rovers while he was here but no worldy. We have a good team that will provide lots of chances at league 1 level to most out and out strikers so not concerned this early. Marquis was all profit to us so gives us funds to buy another young striker to nurture and strengthen in depth.
Onward and upward in Moore we trust

Anyone who still isn't concerned at all, even at this stage, about our chances this season needs their pulse checking.

Let's not mess about here. This pre-season has been a complete shambles.
  • A good manager who actually delivered. Gone.
  • Decent players; Rowe, Andrew, Butler and Marosi. Gone.
  • Top loanees; Kane, Wilks and Downing. Gone. And never stood a chance of keeping them.
  • Now Marquis, our 7th top goalscorer of all time. Gone.

Yes, we replaced the manager with a decent bloke who could be good, but took an age to do so. And now here we are, three days (yes THREE days) away from the season and we have barely even got started replacing the talent we had last season, let alone actually improving the squad.

I wouldn't even mind the sale of Marquis in isolation. £2m is a good deal for a L1 striker with a year left on his contract. Good luck to him. It's that PLUS all the above that is worrying.

As it stands, this bare bones squad isn't even as good, in depth OR in quality, as the one from 2017/18 which stayed up by just 6 points. Alfie May is currently the only available striker at the club who had regular L1 football last season, and the geezer only scored 2 league goals. Marquis, Rowe and Wilks scored 40 between them last year. Where are the goals going to come from this time?

Despite the usual messaging coming out from Gavin Baldwin bullshit factory, about wanting to improve on last year, having good players lined up to come in, "don't panic", etc, at the moment this isn't a club that looks at all serious about doing well next season. If it were, it wouldn't be so seemingly indifferent about getting a competitive squad together in advance of the season, giving the manager time to prepare for the challenges ahead. The lack of urgency all around has been breathtaking.

But to end on a high note, with Bury and Bolton on -12 we can't be bottom of the league until at least 4 games in. So don't say I don't say owt positive.  :P

Great Post.
this squad in my opinion is worse than the one that got relegated to League Two.

It's realism, and not blind faith. It's having the foresight to criticise when it's due.

Believe me Boomstick it's not foresight you have.

It's an odd determination to criticise the club for not doing the things you want them to do in the manner in which you want it done.

We can only hope Darren works a miracle in the next few days, but I agree completely with you. Well said.
