Midweek games
« on October 03, 2020, 12:15:47 pm by rimmington »
Another Tuesday evening this week. With no spectators allowed, why do clubs in the lower leagues have to go to the expense of having to pay for games to be played under floodlights. Wouldn't it help finances, if games were played in daylight.  Even Saturday matches could ko earlier.

Playing later gives opportunity for people to watch it after work if you play at say 2 pm mid week then the numbers would drop drastically I would think

This Tuesday could be if enough buy a game pass on ifollow our biggest ever crowd for a game away in this competition.
I don't think we will have a lot to beat.

Away at Grimsby when we we lost and we’re holders of the JPT. I think we had more than 50% of the attendance that night.

This was done in another thread a few weeks back.

Because of the amount of people at work during the day, Rovers would miss out on lots of match pass fees.

Be careful with making suggestions like that on here. Some people might accuse you of being selfish.

don't rovers have to sell 500 passes for an away game before they start making any money

I think that the home club and Rovers have to agree on a figure that would probably have attended then we get money for the numbers above the agreed figure.
