Seven games in total for Rovers this season and in six of them we have gone behind first. Only the Ennis goal in our 2-1 league win against Lincoln City has been Rovers scoring first in a game.

Six out of seven!

Some of our glasses are half empty tonight aren’t they?

If this league had 24 active teams and everyone had played 7 at this point in time then our game tomorrow is joint top vs joint top. Let’s enjoy it. We’d have bitten your hand off for this situation the day before the season started!

Idd start with the team that finished last Saturdays game expect for Blair. A point would be a good result but no reason we can’t nick it.

Why would they need to check an Atlas to see where Doncaster is? We're hardly a little village.

Don’t know why some are talking Ipswich up so much.

It’s hardly as though they have spent most of the last 10 years in the Premier League is it.
In fact they have been a bottom half Championship side in most of those years. They are not the “big” team or club they once were.

Yes it will be a tough game of course, as they have started this season unbeaten. But so have we. This is winnable, it definitely is.

Not saying we will win but i rate it 50/50 so a draw is most likely on that basis.
Would take that now but I would not go over board about getting 1 point.

We are a much better team than many are giving us credit for. Also we are only going to get better.

What we need of course is to not get any long term injuries, short term ones are almost inevitable.

Come on the Rovers, onwards and upwards.
Last min decision not to go this morning due to stomach bug.
So all you guys on the Travel Club coach please give the lads a shout from me.
Cheers.

Well I came back from this game enthused about our prospects with this side this season. That was one of our best displays, up there with Charlton away last season.
0-0 and only two stars for entertainment in the FL paper this morning, they are joking, a game full of skill and pace from both sides, outstanding goalkeeping from both keepers, the only downside was the referee's interpretation on giving yellow cards out to just one team, and of course that was one honour we were always going to win.
Every player we fielded did well, we were the better side for long periods of the game, and look to be improving every time we play. Coaching is obviously having a part in our improvement, we are keeping our shape as a team, the midfield and back four are visibly improving and keep a good shape, and the front men are mobile and pulled the best defence we have come uo against about the field, Ennis being a hand full all the game, and the pace of their defenders got them out of trouble on more than one occasion, as did Holy their massive foreign keeper on more than one occasion. their keeper.
like most I would have taken a point before the game, and am happy that we did so, now it is start again on Tuesday,.

Having watched the entire game I thought we were clueless in the box , not ruthless , rushed every opportunity created and seldom looked like causing their back four any difficulties. Approach play was fantastic to watch but the moment the ball went into 18 yd box it's seldom threatening.
Ennis was very good but needs  to be more central when in the box and more shots off  , his height physique should be causing plenty of  problems but he just isn’t imposing himself enough on  defences , definitely a work in progress  . Not having a recognised striker is STILL a concern .

You must have been at a different game to me they panicked at the back , we were not ruthless and should have scored , Taylor fluffed his afferts,  Ennis ran his socks offs and thought he held the ball.up well yesterday ,  his pace and willingnes to run when running on researve his is main asset  , the entire team played well

We looked superb to be fair! It’s all coming together. Yesterday’s performance was the best of the season. We’ve played some decent teams now and I’ve not seen a better one than us

The next 4 games will show how far we have come. or how far we need to go. It's looking good.

Personally I feel we played better in the second half of last week and took our chances as well.

Ennis is unknown to everyone and should be leaving his mark on games a bit more , he can and will get plenty of goals but he has to do it in the six yard box where most chances go begging.

If we'd not shat the bed in front of goal we'd have pissed the game and the league would have sat up and took notice. Just needs that bit more composure, but we're not far away at all.
