Every time he appears I’m willing him to do well but at some point we have to cut our losses I’m afraid

im exactly the same, im desperate for him to produce something, but he never seems to be any where near the ball... Thats quite some talent, finding space, but always in the wrong area.....

Sadly i think he feigned injury last night as well, which would be shocking if true.  To go down unchallenged for a ball that he wasnt even jumping for, for bizarre.  It looked like he had snapped his knee cap the way he went down, but to be up running  minutes later as well.  If this is just down to a total lack of confidence in taking a shot, well he really shouldnt be pulling on the shirt ...

Ferguson signed him on three year deal so we have him for rest of this season. I suspect we will pay him up in some form so he can leave in January.

It was a good signing at the time, he’d done well at this level.
He’s suffered a terrible illness and it’s obviously had an effect on him.
Doesn’t need slagging off

1. He hadn't done well at this level. You have made that up. At the time of us signing him, he had played a grand total of 9 games in League One across two seasons, scoring no goals during either spell.

2. He has suffered a terrible illness. We don't know whether he would have been good bad or indifferent otherwise.

3. I have not imparted any criticism of him in the quoted message.

Looking at the attacking players we have signed not loaned on what ever length of contract. Who are the stand out ones who have contributed with goals under DF, GM and now DM.

DF signed
Marquis.
Williams for certain period

GM signed

DF signed

Common denominator we don’t sign an abundance of players young or older that are goal scores.
We sign potential and as yet consistently it’s not worked.
We are not producing at U23 level strikers/ forwards that can step up and become permanent in the first team.
We are loaning players hoping they will come good but if they do they’ll be gone.
So Kiwomya came he’s not done it his illness stopped his progression, he was given no chance under GM. He’s been given more chance under DM. He has pace but no end product, his fitness still is poor and his attitude and commitment again is questionable.
Very much reminds me of Andy Watson (heart of a pea)

Unfortunate for the lad considering his illness but I'm sure DM will have to move him out to make room for others to stake their claim or bring in another with some potential.

I’ve not slagged him just merely stated that there comes a time when the club has to look to the future. One of the main reasons I’d like him to do well is to silence a few on here, however I’m a realist and think we need to review his contract.

I meant at the level we were at, in league 2 he was the best player against us by a mile.
It was courted as a very good signing on here due to the Performance against us.
The length of time he’s been out has effected him, he looks nothing like the player he did beforehand. The nature of the illness, effecting his muscles and nerves etc is going to take time to get over.
And I never said you had criticised him, other have though

Without sounding too uncaring, whatever his medical problems were it shouldn't stop him getting stuck in, he's too lightweight with no bottle

Behind Coppinger, Taylor, Sadlier and May we don’t have another player good enough for the first team football. All of the above are range from really good to ok but we need better if we are to progress. Relying on Kiwomya, Longbottom, Watters shows we must improve the calibre of the squad.
Striker wise we still need one Thomas and even Ennis were not good enough last night.

Harsh on Watters. The kids never had the chance and people don't want him to be given one?

Yes DO, that is one of my points, while we have played a couple of players for  two or three seasons, who have not been quite good enough to hold a regular first team place, but have been given every chance to progress over those three seasons( in Kiwomya's case a large part of that taken out by illness unfortunately) Not good enough to start but go to fill in players and have had their contracts extended by managers now not with us, but left the club because they hinted the squad was not good enough for success at the level we are at, and needed investment, well thanks both of you.
In the mean time players like Watters have been released or had their chances stunted, other younger players treated badly on a one to one basis with Fergie, who showed his credentials when doing a runner.

GM signed Sadlier whose turning out to be a very good addition.

When he signed we were not at League Two level. We were no longer in League Two.

How this player earns a living as a footballer I'll never know.
Totally out of order with a comment like that. Disgusting. The lad has had a very serious illness and is doing his best to revive his career.
Yes as i have said in another post. his best may well turn out to be not good enough. DM is at least giving him the opportunity.

Whatever the cause - illness, Confidence, application - who knows to be honest. What is clear though is that he is not going to be getting a contract with us when his deal ends in June. Three managers now have passed over him while fit and had no confidence in the lad. Maybe his illness takes many months or even years to subside fully but we are not able to wait around for that. As I have said before, we will likely part ways in January I expect.
