I seem to remember reading a couple of years or so back that said that in the next twelve years the UK would be a predominantly Muslim country.

And then you will really see the tolerant peace loving face of Islam when they get the whip hand and we will be treat like dogs and eventually wiped out.

When you dig under that jokey unpleasant façade, you're actually really unpleasant aren't you.

When this becomes a muslim majority country how do you think we will be treat? Serious question.

AL, I don’t know what your personal experience of Muslims is, as opposed to what you may read in the media, but let me tell you a true story. 2 years ago I was working at a works beside a large housing estate near Coventry. This estate was well known in the area for being pretty rough. Virtually the only decent people living on this estate were the Muslims/Asian minority there. Most of the white people that you’d see were spiced out of their minds, begging in doorways or pissed as farts all day in the local boozers. Our work vans were broken into on more than one occasion and tools being flogged on the streets. Meanwhile, the Asians were literally the only people from this estate who you’d see going to work in the morning.

Hound, that's the sort of one-liner readers of 'The Mail'/Express/Sun are fed.  Even if it were plausible -and I don't believe it is - it would likely be the result of the decline in the numbers identifying as Christian rather than the proliferation of Muslims.

Hound. They'd better get procreating quickly then. Muslims currently make up about 6% of the population. If they are going to become a majority, they'll need to increase in numbers from about 4m to 35m.

It could be that hound is sort of correct in that with the decline in church/chapel going within the next decade or so Islam could be the religion with the most participants in the UK? Maybe hound would like to clarify?

A few stats for you to ignore

83% of Muslims are proud to be a British citizen, compared to 79% of the general public
77% of Muslims strongly identify with Britain while only 50% of the wider population do
86.4% of Muslims feel they belong in Britain, slightly more than the 85.9% of Christians
82% of Muslims want to live in diverse and mixed neighbourhoods compared to 63% of non-Muslim Britons

Wilts, I have nothing to clarify sir. It isn’t my opinion.
I wasn’t  claiming that I was right, it was just something that I had read, somewhere, a couple of years or so ago.
I never buy a newspaper so it would have been something I read online and yes I know that it could have been an online version of one of the newspapers that others have mentioned.
It could even have been an online Guardian quote, I just don’t know.
